Measurement & Personalisation Guide

When taking all of your measurements for your bespoke shirts make sure that your measure a good snug fit, as we need your body measurements, not your clothing measurements to make sure that we give you the best possible fitting shirt.

  1. Collar – Take the tape measure around the middle of your neck making sure that it is a snug fit.

  2. Chest – Take the tape measure around your chest, measuring around the largest area, which is usually over your nipples. Again make sure that it is a snug measurement.
    Bespoke Shirt Chest
  3. Waist – Pass the tape measure around your belly at its largest part, which is usually around the tummy button. Don’t hold it in as that will just give you false measurements and won’t let the shirt sit properly.

  4. Back Length – Take the tape measure from the bottom of where your collar will sit or in other words, where your neck meets your back, and take the tape measure down your back, over your bottom and to where you would like your shirt to finish.
    Bespoke Shirt Back
  5. Shoulders – Take the tape measure straight across your back from shoulder to shoulder.

  6. Arm Length – put your hand on your hip. This is very important as it will allow the arm length to be correct when you bend your arm. Take the measurement from where your shoulder meets your arm, not up by your neck, pass the tape measure over your bent elbow and the finish where you would like your cuff to finish.

  7. Cuff – Take the tape measure around where you cuff would be and hold it loosely at the width that you wish your cuff to be

These 7 measurements will allow us to make for you the shirt that you have always wanted.

Plus, the real joy is that you only need to take your measurements once (unless you change size considerably and then just send us your new measurements) so all you have to do when you order your next shirt is simply send us the details about how you want the shirt to look this time and the fabric. It’s as simple as that!

Personalisation

The section below explains the rest of the order form allowing you to add those little personal touches so that you get the shirt you have always wanted.

Collars - please look on our collar & cuff page to choose your collar & cuffs by clicking here

Collar Bones

  1. With Bones – these bones are non removable from the collar
  2. Without Bones – not recommended if you will be wearing a tie with your shirts as the lack of bones does allow the tips of the collar to wilt
  3. Removable Bones – these bones are removable from the shirt and should be removed when washing.

Back Pleats

  1. Straight Back – this means that there will be no pleats in the shirt. Usually the best choice for the squarer gentleman.
    Straight
  2. Waist Darts – this will bring the shirt in a bit around the waist and is usually best for the thinner gentleman who likes to wear his shirts in a more fitted fashion
    Waist Darts
  3. Centre Pleat – the most commonly worn pleat allowing the shirt to come in ever so slightly below the shoulders. Not the best choice for gentlemen with a barrel shaped chest
    Centre Pleats
  4. Side Pleats – small pleats nearer the shoulder blades allowing the shirt to sit on a wider frame of gentleman.
    Side Pleats

Cuffs - please look on our collar & cuff page to choose your cuffs by clicking here

Sleeve Tab

  1. With button – this is where a button is added just above the cuff allowing the wearer to fasten the small open area between the shirt and the cuff. There is no real benefit to this button it is simply down to the individual’s choice.
  2. Without button – simply with no button

You can also choose different fabrics to have under your collar & cuffs, or simply under your collar or cuffs!

You can also personalise your shirt with your own embroidery, & much, much more......
