Your shirt is something that you will love and so it deserves to be cared for in an appropriate manner.
Please make sure that you wash your shirt before wearing it for the first time!
This will loosen the fibres and make sure that your shirt fits correctly and is the most comfortable it can be.
Washing
Hand wash or machine wash, but please make sure that you do not machine wash your shirt at more than 40 degrees centigrade - never any warmer
remove any collar bones before washing
Ironing or pressing
The best time to iron or press your shirt is when it is damp just after washing
Iron from the collar, making sure that you iron down towards the point
Work your way down the yoke, then iron the back of the shirt. Then turn the shirt over and iron the front or the shirt working your way down from the top to the bottom. Next, iron the sleeves, making sure that you take the time to find the seam so that you get a crisp, correct crease. Fially move to the cuffs, making sure that you again, find the seam and so finish with a crisp, clean look.
Storage
If folding your shirt, lie the shirt flat on it's front. Take one arm at a time, fold it in towards the body of the shirt and lie it down the length of the shirt. Do the same with the other arm.
Now fold both arms and the body of the shirt that you have laid the arms on, inwards, so that they meet in the middle of the shirt.
Now fold the bottom of the shirt upwards so that it finishes half way up the shirt. Now fold the onlong this middle line so that the now bottom of the shirt touches the top of the collar.
Store in a cool wardrobe with nothing too heavy on top.
The other way to store a shirt, which most people who buy our shirts tend to use, is to hang your shirt on a good wooden hanger as soon as you have finished ironing.
